photograhers from the beginner to the experienced to join us at our
18th Annual Photo Day, in the beautiful gardens and parklands of the
Elsie Perrin Williams Estate. What better way to learn more about photography, espically in this new world of digital, than to attend on of our many workshops. This years topics will include Hints on Digital Photography, Adobe Photo, Adobe Lightroom tricks and techniques, Indoor and Outdoor Lighting, Macro Photography, Outdoor Fashion Photography, and a feature workshop on Nature Photography with Bob Wood. We will have sales Representitaves from different camera, lens and accessory manufacturers to demonstrate the latest in digital products. You will have a chance to try out the latest in Digital and Photo Cameras, Lenses, Flash Units, Tripods and Accessories. We will also have a retail section with new and used digital and photo products and photo day sale items. "The Joy of Bird Photography"
- We are pleased to have
MyPhotoClub.com member Sue Southon join us for a look at bird
photography. Her journey will take you from your back yard to
going out in the wild. This workshop is full of tips and tricks
to take better photographs of birds.
"Adobe Photo Shop Workshops"
- If you have a
digital camera, chances are you have tried Adobe Photoshop. This
is a good workshop to attend to enter into the world of digital, come
see what you can do with your images once you get them into the
computer. "Adobe
Lightroom Workshops"
- New to the Adobe family is
Lightroom, this is one of the best programs for organizing, sorting,
correcting, printing, and even publishing your images to the web.
If you have used adobe bridge, but are still looking for the best way
to manage your images on your computer, than this walk around Lightroom
workshop is for you. We will also be showing some tips and
techniques that you can use with this program.
"Your Digital Camera" - Do you have a digital camera yet,
thinking of purchasing a digital camera or still waiting to see what
comes next!!! If any or all of the above are on you mind than
this is a good workshop to attend. This seminar will help answer
many of your digital
questions. We are pleased to have our own staff
member Doug Burdick host this
workshop,
Doug also runs a series of winter camera and digital classes. "Action Photography" -
MyPhotoClub.com member Bob Steer will be at the Dog Agility
set-up. He will be happy to give pointers and tips on the art of
Action Photography. Bob has experience in shooting both Dog
Agility, Equistrian and Cycling events. "Macro Photography and How to Light it " - Get up and close to your subject ... Macro photography is easy to do and easy to light. In this workshop we will be demonstrating different types of macro lenses, the use of reflectors and easy flash techniques. This workshop Dave Hill from Booth Photographic and Doug Burdick from Stan C. Reade will be teaming up for some fun with photo accessories.
"Quick Environmental Portraits (QEP)"

Dave Chidley, long time and award winning photo journalist, will be
presenting this workshop on taking great photos of people and places,
on the go. After a brief presentation Dave will take you on a
walk about to try some of his shooting techniques. "Outdoor Photo Shoot and Lighting" -
Jason Brown of Jason Brown Photography will be working with a model,
demonstrating the many techniques of lighting your subject outdoors. He
will be demonstrating simple reflectors and portable flash units. Photo Shoot - Models will be on hand to give photographers the chance to take photos in all sorts of back drops and lighting situations. If you have ever though of trying your hand at Fashion or Portrait photography now is your chance. Models provided by Elegance Modeling. Photo Fashion Show - Keep your camera handy there will be some great photo opportunities. Colourful

Performance
by Orlando Valencia and his Pachanga Latan Jazz Band
- We are excited to present
Orlando Valencia and his Pachanga Latin Jazz Band. Orlando has
been performing in different venues throughout southwestern Ontario and
London, presenting the warm sounds of Latin music. We are sure
you will enjoy listening to the Cuban and Brazilian rhythms with a jazz
influence. Orlando's band is also a regular at Maggie's Supper
& Jazz Club, and next door to Stan C. Reade Photo at Under the
Volcano Mexican Restaurant.
Ritmo Y Cafe - (which means Rhythm
and Coffee) is a 12 member Columbian
Dance Group who will be performing on the main stage
throughout the day.
Their colourful costumes will make for great photograhs and they will
be available after their performance for photographs.
Try your hand at action
photography: We
are pleased to have Blanche Cooper and her dog agility team retuning
year. Blanche will take her dogs through their agility
routine, giving our photographers a chance to try action photography.

Products to see: Make it a Family Day: Stan C. Reade Photo Day is lots of fun for all ages, bring the family and spend the day. We will have a BBQ at midday, Clowns to entertaint the children, Face Painting, Balloons and a Magic Show. ~

All photo entries are displayed, winners announced and prizes presented at Photo Day. Click on the logo below for contest details and to see a list of prizes and categories. All the photo entries will be on display at the Estate, we will be announcing the photo contest winners and presenting the awards during Photo Day. Directions: The Elsie Perrin Williams Estate is located at 101 Windemere Road at the top of the hill just west of University Hospital, the gates are on the left hand side of the road. Traveling north on Richmond Street turn left at Windemere Road. We will have Photo Day signs posted on Richmond Street and Windemere Road. See Map below.
