Ready for the ultimate Photo Experience ...

Stan C. Reade Photo is pleased to present Sedona Workshops and Tours in and around the colourful city of Sedona, Arizona.  You will be photographing some of the most exciting terrain in the southwest.  Scroll down to see a full description of the trip and a daily schedule.

Workshops and Day trips

We will be visiting different areas of Sedona each day for photographs and location workshops.  The tour also includes a day trip to the Petrified Forest and a day trip to the Grand Canyon.  We will also be doing Sunrise and Sunset Photo Sessions.

During the trip you will have time to use the computer room we have set up and work with our instructor on creating and printing a portfolio of your trip.  This will also give you a chance to work with Adobe Photoshop and other print related programs.  We will also have several evening sessions where we will review photographs taken during the tour.

What better way to wrap up the tour than a trip to the M-Diamond Ranch.  This is the complete western experience, an expansive 44,000 acre turn of the century working cowboy ranch.  Experience a Cowboy evening that includes a sunset wagon ride, steak cookout by campfire and western music.

Orchard Inn of Sedona and Tlaquepaque

We will be staying at the Orchard Inn of Sedona, your tour includes accommodations and breakfast each morning.  The Inn has provided us with a workshop room, where we will hold our workshops, you will also have computer time to work on your Sedona Portfolio.  The Inn is centrally located to the areas we will be photographing, restaurants and shopping.

Your unforgettable Sedona experience must include spending time at internationally renowned Tlaquepaque (pronounced Tla-keh-pah-keh), Sedona Arizona's Arts & Crafts Village.  Nestled beneath the shade of the sycamores on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek in Sedona, Tlaquepaque is the most distinctive shopping experience to be found in the Southwest. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque, meaning the "best of everything," has been a Sedona landmark since the 1970's.  Its vine covered stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways and magnificent arched entryways give you the feeling that Tlaquepaque has been here for centuries.  For the Photographer Tlaquepaque lends itself to many photo opportunities of buildings and the street scapes.

Sedona - A Photographers Playground
Here is the schedule of events for our tour.

Your hosts for the tour will be James Cowie from Stan C. Reade Photo, and well know photo journalist photographer Dave Chidley.  They will be conducting workshops on each day trip related to the location we are visiting.  Filters, creative use of lenses, fill flash and reflectors are just a few of the topics we will be covering.

During the course of stay in Sedona, we will have a workshop and computer room available for you to use and work on a trip portfolio.  On selected evenings we will hold workshops and look at the photos we shot during the day.  Working and learning techniques in photoshop and doing some onsite printing of your work will also be part of the program.

Dave Chidley will be journalizing and posting images and articles of each days adventures to Stan C. Reade’s website.

Book early as space is limited to 30 people.  Brochure and booking form at bottom of page.
