Stan C. Reade Photo - Spring Photo Tour '08 May 25th & Jun 1st
Spring is just around the corner, and we will be giving you lots of photo opportunities on our Spring Photo Tour on Sunday May 25th and Sunday June 1st.  On this years tour we will be visiting Hilton Falls in the Halton Conservation Area, and then after lunch visiting Mountberg Wildlife Centre and Wetlands.  We will be conducting workshops at each location and wrapping up the day with dinner, before we return to London.  If you are interested in the tour, book early as seats go very quickly.  Click on the link below for additional tour information, brochure and registration form.

Yosemite Photo Tour - April 19th - 27th 2008
Stan C. Reade Photo is pleased to present Yosemite Photo Tour, we depart on Saturday April 19th for a six day Photo Adventure Tour of Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley and San Francisco.  In Yosemite we will be photographing Waterfalls, Rock Formations, Lakes and Meadows, and enjoying many of the trails the park has to offer.  Yosemite is a photographers paradise.  From Yosemite we will head to Napa Valley, visit a castle in the wine district and then on to San Francisco.  In San Francisco we will be visiting China Town, Fishermans Warf, and have a night tour of Alcatracz.  We will wrap up the tour with a dinner cruise on the SS Hornblower under the Golden Gate Bride at Sunset.  If you are interested in learning more about the tour, or would like to join us, as there is still limited space on the second week, click on the link below.

Photo Day - Sunday July 8th, 2007
Our 17th annual Photo Day takes place on Sunday July 8th at the beautiful Elsie Perrin Williams Estate.  Join us for a day of photography, workshops, seminars, photo shoots  and entertainment.  We will have displays set up from Photo and Digital Manufacturers, Sales representatives to show product and answer questions,  Equipment to test out, Clowns for the children and a BBQ during the lunch hour.  Plan to stay for the day, many things to see and do.  Gates open at 9:30 A.M. show runs from10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and Admission is Free.  Click on the links below for details on Photo Day and our Annual Photo Contest.  See you there.

Canon Introduces the New EOS 1D Mark III
Canon's flagship EOS-1D Mark III is the most advanced EOS Digital SLR ever produced. It has a new 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor (APS-H size) with Canon's EOS Integrated Cleaning System and a 3.0-inch LCD monitor with Canon's Live View technology. The 1D Mark III has a redesigned 100% viewfinder, a new 45-point AF system, and can shoot up to 10 fps continuously with a maximum burst of 110 shots. Dual DIGIC III Image Processors work in tandem to speed up every process while refining image quality; a new, lighter body has improved weather sealing and shutter durability. Every facet of the EOS experience has been enhanced with the 1D Mark III. It's the new standard.

The Studio Make Over Tour workshop paid a visit to London on Sunday September 17th, the guest speaker Jean-Francois O'kane, (the Studio Coach) did an amazing job walking our guests through lighting techniques and how to relate them to this digital world.  Click on the link below to see a full report and images from the workshop.

 Fall Colours Photo Tour
Sunday October 15th and October 22nd
Tickets are now available for our Fall Colours Photo Tour, we are offering two dates for you to choose from, Sunday October the 15th and Sunday October 22nd.  This tour we will be visiting the Cheltenham Badlands, the area offers amazing photo opportunities, with it's bright red hills, and the fall colours of the grand valley.  Next stop Cataract Falls in the Forks on the Credit Provincial Park and then on to the Elora Gorge, we will finish the day with a workshop and dinner at the Elora Mill Inn.  We will be offering  workshops, tips and camera gear to test at each location.  Tickets are $89.99 plus tax and include a box lunch and dinner.  For more details, download a brochure and the tour registration form, click on the link below.

  Nikon Introduces the D80
The much anticipated announcement is here, the Nikon D80, a 10.2 megapixel digital SLR.  The new camera offers a faster start up time, a 2.5 inch LCD monitor, an 11 area auto focus system and many new in camera features.  This camera will be offered as body only or in a kit form with a new lens from Nikon a 18-135mm AF-S DX.  We are now taking pre orders, click on the link below for price and ordering details.

Photo Day Sunday July 9th - at the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate
Our annual Photo Day, the 16th to be exact is Sunday July 9th, and runs from 10 am to 4pm at the Elsie Perrin Williams Estate.  We will have workshops, seminars, demonstrations, new products, sales representatives from camera companies,  a min retail store, entertainment, models, old cars, new cars, BBQ ... and more. Spring Niagara Photo Tour - Sunday June 4th
Tickets are now on sale for our spring photo tour.  A second tour date of June 4th has been added as the May 28th tour is sold out.  This trip is the same tour just one week later, we will be visiting the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara, where you will have a chance to photograph butterflies in a tropical rainforest enviorment, then we will continue to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a box lunch and a outdoor photo workshop by the lake, then on to Niagara Glen, where you will have a chance to venture into the Niagara Gorge on beautiful nature trails, great opportunities for spring flowers, workshops will be available at each location.  We will finish the day, with dinner at the revolving restrauant at the top of the Skylon Tower.  Tour tickets are 89.99 plus tax, and include bus coach, conservatory entrance fee, box lunch and dinner.  Make sure to reserve your tickets early, space is limited.

Fall and Winter Workshops - October 18th - April 18th, 2006
Our Fall and Winter Workshops start on October 18th and run thru April of 2006.  We have a great seclection of topics this season, including Digital, Lighting, Photoshop, and Scrapbooking.  The cost for the workshops are $20 in advance or $30 dollars at the door, if you choose to attend more than workshop there is a package of three available for $50.  Click on the link below for more detail and dates on each workshop, and for the registration form.

Fall Colours Photo Tour - October 16th
Stan C. Reade is hosting a fall photo tour on Sunday October 16th.  We will be visiting two of Ontario’s hidden treasures, Eugenia Falls and Inglis Falls.  Located on the Niagara Escarpment just below Georgian Bay, these two locations offer a spectrum of fall colours.  Bus departs from Stan C. Reade at 8:00 a.m. sharp, we will be traveling to Eugenia and Inglis Falls on board a luxury coach supplied by Coach Canada.

Photo Contest June 4th to July 5th
It's time for our Annual Photo Contest ... Photo Scavenger Hunt - Contest runs the month of April
Keep checking back to stancreade.com for the daily clue in our Photo Scavenger hunt.  Collect the clues, there are three items in total.  We will be giving you a series of clues each day, once you have figured out the item go and photograph it, then submit them to Stan C. Reade Photo, (YOU MUST COLLECT all three items) Deadline is Monday April 25th at 6:00pm.  Your submission will be entered into our draw to win a trip for two to Las Vegas.  Check out the link below for all the details of the contest.
Niagara Photo Tour '05 - Sunday May 15th
Stan C. Reade presents Niagara Photo Tour '05, Sunday May 15th and bus leaves from the back parking lot of Stan C. Doors of London Photo Contest

Here is something fun, to warm up your winter.  Stan C. Reade, Rogers Television - Daytime show, Wortley Roadhouse, Fanshawe College Graphic Design, and The Framing and Art Centre have come up with the Doors of London Photo Contest.  Take a photo of an interesting door in the City of London, can be a film or digital image.  The winning photos will go to create a doors of london poster with proceeds going to Heritage London Foundation.  Click on the link below for details.

Scrapbook Retreat - April 16th - 18th Ramada Inn, London

Scrapbook Retreat in London, April 16th - 18th at the Ramada Inn.  The theme for this international event is "Crop around the Clock", which combines Canada's fastest growing leisure activity of scrap booking with the love of music from many eras.

The Crop around the Clock retreat offers the scrapbook a chance to work on their photo albums, attend classes, and watch demonstrations of new products or techniques.

James Cowie from Stan C. Reade photo will be speaking on the importance of preserving your photos and what to do with them.  Scanning, Printing, using digital cameras, and a look at easy ways to use adobe photo in your computer.

Picture of Health Photo Contest  - Time to Cast your Vote

2003 was declared the "Year of Healthy Living" by the London Hospitals  ... Stan C. Reade included a Healthy Living category in this years photo contest, well we are now hosting the Year of Healthy Living Photo Contest for Kids.

In partnership with the London Health Sciences Foundation and the Hospitals, Stan C. Reade Photo and Fuji Film Canada have donated 1000 single use cameras which will be distributed to the Grade 6 students in the Public and Separate School boards in London during the week of September 15th, 2003.  Each grade 6 class will be discussing healthy living and then asked to take photos of their idea of the Picture of Health.

The cameras have been collected and the images posted to our web page.  Now it's time for you to cast your vote for the winning photo.  Follow the link below.
